A Greenslips Australia (Compulsory Third Party Insurance Policy) offers protection against the consequences of injuring another driver while driving your motor vehicle.
By law, any person owning a motor vehicle that requires registration in NSW and Queensland must have CTP Insurance.
CTP Insurance provides compensation to the other partu injured in the accident where you or the person driving your vehicle is decided to be at fault. However, CTP insurance will not cover your own injuries if you are the driver at fault. The CTP Greenslip is limited and will not cover any costs of vehicular repairs.
The NSW Governing body has full control over this insurance through the Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) and the Motor Accidents Compensation Act (MACA) 1999 (as amended).
