Do I need a CTP Green Slip?
Yes, you are required by law to register for a CTP Greenslip. This is a compulsory condition of motor vehicle registration in NSW or Queensland.
What is a CTP Green Slip?
In short, a CTP Greenslip or Compulsory Third party offers vehicle owners and licensed drivers protection for personal injury to another party in the event of a personal injury claim being made.
If I travel outside of NSW, will I still be covered?

What will my CTP Greenslip cover?
Your CTP greenslip will protect you against all road users. This includes drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and all other roadside passers-by. Your policy also includes njuries caused through the use of a trailer.

Are Greenslips Australia agents?
Yes, Greenslips Australia are Agents of the most popular NSW CTP insurers. All of our providers comply with the requirements of the Motor Accidents Authority of NSW (MAA). The MAA regulates the NSW CTP insurance industry under the Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999 No.41.
Do you offer a special CTP insurance premiums for fleets?

Why is there a price difference for CTP Green slip premiums between postcodes?
According to the Motor Accidents Authority (MAA), accidents vary between postcodes and offer different risks. We have no control over these fluctuations as the MAA decides what postcodes are considered high risk.
Even if my car is unregistered, I can still apply for CTP?
Absolutely not. You will be held personally liable for any/all injuries you cause in a motor vehicle collision if your vehicle is not registered.
If I sell my vehicle, will my CTP be refunded?
No. Green Slips transfer ownership along with the registration of the vehicle. Only under the circumstance of a deregistered vehicle is a refund honoured.
For refunds (which may take 10 days or more). We require one of the following before the cheque will be issued:
- A copy of ‘Letter of Cancellation’ supplied by the RTA,
- A copy of interstate registration papers,
- A letter from the motor insurer stating the date the vehicle has been written off, or
- The original copy of your CTP Green Slip if it has not been used at the RTA.
Will anything affect my premium rate?
Factors which may affect your premium can include, but are not limited to:
- your accident record
- the age of all regular drivers that drive your vehicle
- the age of your vehicle
- the type of vehicle
- comprehensive or third party insurance
- the purpose for which your vehicle is used
- renewal or new greenslip
Who exactly is the MAA?
MAA stands for the Motor Accidents Authority of NSW.
The MAA was established by NSW Parliament under the Motor Accidents Act 1988. They administer the Green Slip scheme and aim to create a safer environment for road users, better injury management, and ensure the Green Slip remains affordable, efficient, effective and fair.
